Inter-census Population Survey (SUPAS) Officer Training

Inter-census Population Survey (SUPAS) Officer Training

June 3, 2025 | BPS Activities

The Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS) is one of the important instruments in the national statistical system that is carried out between two Population Census periods. The main objective of SUPAS 2025 is to present data on population characteristics, producing demographic parameters that are an important basis for monitoring and evaluating various national development programs. SUPAS 2025 data coverage includes various important aspects, such as basic population information, births and deaths, population mobility within and outside the country, employment, education, communication, disability, elderly population conditions, and housing aspects.

To ensure the quality of the data collected, SUPAS officers were trained using two methods: online for two days and face-to-face for one day. During the training, in addition to receiving technical material, officers were also involved in role playing, namely interviewing respondents as well as practicing filling in data with the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) system.
