Abstract

January 2012, CPI Combined Jawa Barat covering 7 cities of Bandung City, Cirebon City, Tasikmalaya City, Bekasi City, Bogor City, Sukabumi City and Depok City experienced an increase / inflation compared to the CPI in December 2011 of 0.79 percent. Inflation for 2012 (year to date inflation) reached 0.79 percent. Jawa Barat Composite Inflation over the last twelve months (January 2012 to January 2011 or year on year) of 3.28 percent. Of the seven groups of household expenditures, six groups experienced inflation, the highest in the foodstuff category of 1.36 percent, followed by the food, beverage, cigarette & tobacco 1.16 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel 0 , 78 percent, health group 0.45 percent, education, recreation and sports 0.27 percent, transportation, communication & financial services 0.11 percent while one group, clothing category experienced deflation by 0.52 percent
