Poverty Rate of Jawa Barat in March 2021 of 8.40 percent and Income Inequality of 0.412

Abstract

In March 2021, the number of poor people (people with monthly per capita expenditure below the poverty line) in Jawa Barat increased by around 6.82 thousand people, from 4.19 million people (8.43 percent) in September 2020 to 4 .20 million people (8.40 percent) in March 2021.
The Poverty Line (GK) in Jawa Barat has increased by 2.82 percent from IDR 415,682 per capita per month in September 2020 to IDR 427,402 per capita per month.
The Gini Ratio value has increased from 0.398 to 0.412. The increase in the Gini Ratio was contributed by the increase in the Gini Ratio in urban areas. The Gini Ratio in urban areas rose to 0.423 from 0.409 in the previous period, while in rural areas it decreased from 0.326 to 0.321.
