Supervision of ASF-based Rice Cropping Survey in February 2025

Cropping Survey is one of the annual routine surveys conducted by BPS which is carried out in 3 subrounds. In the first subround of 2025 (January-April 2025 period) BPS Statistics Cimahi Municipality has conducted the Cropping Survey of Rice based on ASF (Area Sample Framework). The purpose of the Cropping Survey is to obtain the level of productivity of rice and secondary crops, where the method used in the Cropping Survey is different for these two types of commodities. The Cross-Cutting Survey of rice crops uses an area frame using data from the Area Sampling Framework (ASF) every month.

The Cross-Cutting Survey was carried out using a 2.5 x 2.5 meter tool on selected plots. The weight of the ubinan results was recorded in the SUB-S questionnaire followed by interviews with respondent farmers to find out various things related to farming such as the type of land, planting method, jajar legowo planting system (rice only), types of production improvement activities, the number of seeds used, the type of seed varieties, the amount of fertilizer used, information on how to control pest/OPT attacks, information on seed assistance, fertilizers, tools and agricultural machinery and other information.
