In December 2024, there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in West Java Province of 1.64 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.33. The highest inflation occurred in Sukabumi City at 2.59 percent with a CPI of 107.60 and the lowest occurred in Subang Regency at 0.93 percent with a CPI of 109.07.
y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by the increase in the expenditure group index, namely: food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.75 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.22 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.45 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.03 percent; health group by 2.22 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 1.28 percent; education group by 2.34 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.34 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 9.09 percent.
Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in the index, namely: information, communication, and financial services groups by 0.39 percent and also the transportation group by 0.05 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate in West Java Province in December 2024 was 0.35 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.64 percent
